STEP TWO: NOMINATION
Qualifications for Nomination
1. Nominees must be a Registered Member of the Parish for at least 1 year and at least a 6 month resident in the Parish.
2. Nominees must be 18 years old.
3. Nominees are to be willing to serve and submit a brief Biographical Profile and Photo of themselves.
4. Nominees must be people of prayer, for whom a personal prayer life is a priority.
5. Nominees must be willing to listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit above all else.
6. Nominees must be collaborative by nature, enjoying the work of a group.
7. Nominees must be able to attend monthly meetings of the Parish Pastoral Council, held every third Monday evening of the month.
Questions & Answers: Nominating
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. As long as you meet the requirements and submit both Biographical Profile and Picture by the deadline (March 30).
How do I nominate someone else?
You must first gain their agreement to the nomination and work with them to submit the required Biographical Profile and Picture by the deadline (March 30).
Can I nominate someone without their knowledge?
No. Our nomination process presumes consent and participation in the preparation of the profile. If you wish to nominate someone, present them with the letter at right and ask for their consent. Nominations without consent will be rejected.
BIOGRAPHICAL PROFILE LETTER
Dear Prospective Nominee,
To become a “Nominee” and thereby qualify to be chosen as a “Candidate” for the Parish Pastoral Council, you are required to provide a brief “Biographical Profile” and photo of yourself (preferably a close up of your face) no later than March 30. From among the Nominees received, a maximum of twenty (20) will be chosen as Candidates by the Election Committee for the election of six (6) “Councilors.”
Please use the questions as outlined below for your Biographical Profile. Please be concise (i.e. a paragraph).

- Education
- Type of work you do / retired
- Married or Single
- Children / Grandchildren
Your Faith History:
- How long have you been a member of St. Andrew Church?
- Which Sunday Mass do you regularly attend?
- Were you baptized Catholic or did you convert?
- What does going to Mass mean to you?
- Are you involved in a Parish Apostolate? If so, which?
Motivation:
- Why are you willing to serve on the PP Council?
- What, or who, is leading you to volunteer?
- What do you hope to receive in your service to the Parish?
