May our presence and care to those most in need reflect the gentleness, esteem and dignity we see reflected in the life and work of Jesus.”

Become a Vincentian

Vincentians are volunteer members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, one of the largest Catholic lay organizations in the world.  Vincentians approach their volunteering as a vocation -- living a life devoted to helping the poor.

Vincentians witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice.  The Society also finds great joy in collaborating with other people of goodwill in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ

St. Vincent de Paul said, "Go to the poor: you will find God."

Vincentians serve the community through a door-to-door approach.  This visit is the most widespread tradition of Vincentians. Our direct approach to service through home visits requires both knowledge and passion. We become more than a resource for our brothers and sisters -- we become neighbors, friends, and family.

If you're interested in becoming a Vincentian, please contact our office at (239) 772-3543 or via email at capesvdp@gmail.com (note that we are unable to respond requests for assistance sent to this email address).
