Monday, Apr 4 // lunes, 4 abril:
Sessions This Week - 6pm Tuesday in Church, Wednesday *IN PARISH HALL*
ALL FAMILIES: This week we do Lessons 10 ("I will not leave you orphans") and 11 ("I believe in the Holy Catholic Church). This session, our catechists will be doing selected Activities with the kids from Lesson 10. As we do NOT have a second session in April (Happy Easter!) you are invited, but not required to do the Activities from Lesson 11 on your own at home.
TUESDAY: Will be in the Church as usual on Tuesday 4/5.
WEDNESDAY LOCATION CHANGE! Due to former St. Andrew Pastor Fr. Murphy's Visitation taking place in the Church, we will be having our session in (and around!) the Parish Hall. Wednesday 4/6 Session will be in the Parish Hall.

TODAS LAS FAMILIAS: Esta semana hacemos las Lecciones 10 ("No los dejaré huérfanos") y 11 ("Creo en la Santa Iglesia Católica). Esta sesión, nuestros catequistas realizarán actividades seleccionadas con los niños de la Lección 10. Como NO tenemos una segunda sesión en abril (¡Felices Pascuas!) está invitado, pero no es obligatorio, a hacer las actividades de la lección 11 por su cuenta en casa.

By our calendars (which can be found here), this week (March 8 or 9) were to be Church Sessions with Cafeteria or Hall Sessions next week (March 15 or 16 - a week earlier than usual due to Spring Break). However, Mr. H. badly threw out his back and needs this week to recover. Thus, this week's sessions have been cancelled. And next week (March 15/16), we will have Church sessions instead. (And to be clear: we won't have Cafeteria/Hall session for March.) I will send another reminder before next week of this location change for session next week.

Cafeteria / Parish Hall Sessions Next Week
ALL FAMILIES will be doing JANUARY LESSON 7 (Jesus Makes Us Children of God). Parents: make sure that you read pages 116-128 in your Parent Guide. You might notice that there is not a Storybook activity this lesson. There were actually two in the previous. We invite you to go back and read Parent Guide page 114-115 to do Activities 3 (Jesus' Miracles) and 4 ('I am the Truth') for your Storybook activities this month. Our catechists skipped those during the last Church Session.
TUESDAY FAMILIES: We will meet in the School Cafeteria at 6pm. You can park in the school parking lot, walk through the fence next to the airnasium (the covered basketball hoops), and enter the cafeteria through the doors at the westernmost end of the school buildling. (Don't worry - Mr. H. is usually out there waving to you!)
WEDNESDAY FAMILIES: We will meet in the Parish Hall at 6pm. The hall is the buildling at the southeast corner of our campus (closest to the Walgreens just across the street). While it has some parking of its own, you might find it easier to park in the school parking lot and walk over. Enter through the main western doors on the side of the building. (Again, I'll be out there waving to you!)

TODAS LAS FAMILIAS estarán haciendo la LECCIÓN 7 DE ENERO (Jesús nos Hace Hijos de Dios). Padres: asegúrese de leer las páginas 116-128 de su Guía para padres. Puede notar que no hay una actividad de Storybook en esta lección. En realidad había dos en el anterior. Lo invitamos a regresar y leer la Guía para padres, página 114-115 para hacer las Actividades 3 (Los milagros de Jesús) y 4 ('Yo soy la verdad') para sus actividades de Storybook este mes. Nuestros catequistas se saltearon esos durante la última Sesión de la Iglesia.

ALL FAMILIES: This week we do Lesson 6: "Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life" (the first lesson in January). This session, our catechists will be doing selected Activities with the kids. You will be asked to do Activity 4 at home because it's one of this month's Family Storybook Activity. Please arrive early enough to be in pews at 6pm (entering as always through the south doors - the ones facing the school). See you Tuesday (2/1) or Wednesday (2/2)!

TODAS LAS FAMILIAS: Esta semana hacemos la Lección 6: "Jesús: El Camino, la Verdad y la Vida" (la primera lección en enero). En esta sesión, nuestros catequistas realizarán actividades seleccionadas con los niños. Se le pedirá que haga la actividad 4 en casa porque es una de las actividades del libro de cuentos familiares de este mes. Llegue lo suficientemente temprano para estar en los bancos a las 6 p. m. January Sessions Postponed to 1/18 and 1/19
Please accept my sincerest apologies if this change in schedule causes anyone inconvenience. During the Christmas break, my wife contracted Covid. Thankfully her case hasn't been too serious but has required her isolation and my family's quarantine at home. Thus, I've not been in the office to prepare for these sessions as well as cancel the catechist meeting whose purpose was to prepare for this session. Since our calendar (available for viewing, printing, or downloading on our F3 Overview page) only called for one session in January, I've decided to move the Church Session that would have been next week to the third week of the month: January 18 and 19. If these dates don't work for your family, simply let Mr. H. know and the absence will be excused due to this change. Thank you for your understanding.

Por favor acepte mis más sinceras disculpas si este cambio en el horario causa algún inconveniente a alguien. Durante las vacaciones de Navidad, mi esposa contrajo Covid. Afortunadamente, su caso no ha sido demasiado serio, pero ha requerido su aislamiento y la cuarentena de mi familia en casa. Cafeteria / Parish Hall Sessions
ALL FAMILIES will be doing NOVEMBER LESSON 4 (Called to be His People, Promised a Savior): Parents: make sure that you read pages 62 - 71 in your Parent Guide. NOTE: Please DO plan to do ACTIVITY 2: God is a Promise Keeper (since it's the Storybook Activity for this lesson). You might also like to go back and read Parent Guide page 53 to do ACTIVITY 2: I Reflect the Image of God as it is also a Storybook activity that our catechists skipped for you during the Church Session a couple weeks ago.
TUESDAY FAMILIES: If you are a Tuesday Family (you attend F3 at Church Sessions on Tuesdays) then this Tuesday (12/14) is your next Cafeteria Session. We will meet in the School Cafeteria at 6pm. You can park in the school parking lot, walk through the fence next to the airnasium (the covered basketball hoops), and enter the cafeteria through the doors at the westernmost end of the school buildling. (Don't worry - we'll be out there waving to you!)
WEDNESDAY FAMILIES: If you are a Wednesday Family (you attend F3 at Church Sessions on Wednesdays) then this Wednesday (12/15) is your next Parish Hall Session. We will meet in the Parish Hall at 6pm. The hall is the buildling at the southeast corner of our campus (closest to the Walgreens just across the street). While it has some parking of its own, you might find it easier to park in the school parking lot and walk over. Enter through the main western doors on the side of the building. ALL FAMILIES: This week we begin Lesson 3: "Made In His Image, But Fallen from Grace" (the first lesson in November). As always, our Church Session will involve the parents staying with Mr. H. while the kids go with the catechists to do activities from the lesson. You do NOT need to bring the purple books. This session, our catechists will be doing selected Activities with the kids. You will be asked to do Activity 2 at home because it's this month's Family Storybook Activity. Please arrive early enough to be in pews at 6pm (entering as always through the south doors - the ones facing the school). See you Tuesday (11/30) or Wednesday (12/1)!

TODAS LAS FAMILIAS: Esta semana comenzamos la Lección 3: "Hechos a su imagen, pero caídos de la gracia" (la primera lección en noviembre). Como siempre, nuestra Sesión de la Iglesia involucrará a los padres que se quedarán con el Sr. H. mientras los niños van con los catequistas a hacer las actividades de la lección. NO es necesario traer los libros morados. En esta sesión, nuestros catequistas realizarán actividades seleccionadas con los niños. Se le pedirá que realice la Actividad 2 en casa porque es la Actividad del libro de cuentos familiares de este mes. Because the St. Andrew Catholic School Middle School Science Fair will be taking over the Parish Hall for the whole week, this once we will also be meeting in the School Cafeteria at 6pm. You can park in the school parking lot, walk through the fence next to the airnasium (the covered basketball hoops), and enter the cafeteria through the doors at the westernmost end of the school buildling. (Don't worry - we'll be out there waving to you!)
ALL FAMILIES will be doing OCTOBER LESSON 2: Parents: make sure that you read through pages 26 - 41 in your Parent Manual and decide which Activities (remember you do NOT have to do all of them!) you will be doing as a Family. NOTE: Please DO plan to do ACTIVITY 5: Your Family Genesis Story (since it's the Storybook Activity for this month). Gather some family photos for it.

TUESDAY FAMILIES: If you are a Tuesday Family (you attend F3 at Church Sessions on Tuesdays) then today is your first Cafeteria Session. We will meet in the School Cafeteria at 6pm. You can park in the school parking lot, walk through the fence next to the airnasium (the covered basketball hoops), and enter the cafeteria through the doors at the westernmost end of the school buildling. (Don't worry - we'll be out there waving to you!)
WEDNESDAY FAMILIES: If you are a Wednesday Family (you attend F3 at Church Sessions on Wednesdays) then tomorrow (10/20) is your first Parish Hall Session. We will meet in the Parish Hall at 6pm. The hall is the buildling at the southeast corner of our campus (closest to the Walgreens just across the street). While it has some parking of its own, you might find it easier to park in the school parking lot and walk over. Enter through the main western doors on the side of the building. (Again, we'll be out there waving to you!)
ALL FAMILIES: If you haven't done the preparation (see the Oct 15 note below), don't worry as this time is our warm up without a lot to do. Next month will be a different story! Please do your best to get into a habit of preparing for these sessions ahead of time so you, the parents or adults, are ready to lead the family in these activities. There will be a paper Turn In every session in which you let us know you were present and share your experiences.

Reminders / Encouragements
1. F3 isn't just for at Church! Use page 4 in the Parent Guide (Your Catholic Home) to begin using the book throughout the month.
2. With sessions next week, remember: adults need to prepare for Family Sessions ahead of time. Before Oct 19 or 20, you should...
- Acquire a Family Storybook (either an actual scrapbook or a 3-ring binder).
- Read page 1 - 7 in your Parent Guide.
- Based on that reading, decide if you're going to do the work on page 3 at our Family Session or before-hand.
- Be ready to lead your family in completing the September Activites (pages 5-7).

Recordatorios / estímulos

Mask Update
Good news: Lee County's Covid positivity rate has dropped enough so that masks will be optional (if still highly encouraged, especially for those too young to be vaccinated) for our upcoming sessions. Click here to read a memo sent today by the Superintendent of Catholic Education. Thus, for our F3 Sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (Oct 5 and 6) masks will be optional. See you soon!
