St. Andrew Catholic Church is in the process of establishing a Parish Pastoral Council. Below you will find the overview of this process. Click on each Step to read more detailed information or download documents (like an election ballot).

PROCESS OVERVIEW

 

STEP ONE: EDUCATION  (March 7-31)

Answers the questions: What is a Parish Pastoral Council? Why do we need one? What does it do?

 

STEP TWO: NOMINATION  (March 21-31)

Nominations are submitted by Parishioners having been informed what makes a good candidate.

 

STEP THREE: ELECTION  (April 4-12)

The parish will vote to elect 6 Councilors from a pool of about 20 Candidates to serve on the Council.

 

STEP FOUR: SELECTION  (April 7-20)

The Priests and Pastoral Staff will recommend to the Pastor 6 Councilors to be appointed to serve, making sure appropriately balanced representation of the whole Parish is maintained year to year.

 

STEP FIVE: COMMISSION  (Commission Sunday: April 19)

The Parish will be presented with the Parish Pastoral Council and the Council will be Commissioned at Mass.
