Our Mission
Once again, Saint Andrew Religious Education staff and catechists are preparing to assist you in the spiritual formation of your family. In doing so, we follow very closely the words of John Paul II: You will get to know Christ, truly and personally, only through prayer. Thus our mission is to foster a deeper friendship with Christ through prayer so that we may encourage each other to live as devoted participants in Christ’s Eucharistic Sacrifice.
Remember
A person’s friendship with Jesus is an ongoing journey. Saint Andrew Religious Education assists families in nurturing this friendship by offering classes for children in first through twelfth grade.
Sacramental Preparation
Preparation for the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation is a two year process in the Diocese of Venice. The celebration of Confirmation will be in the 10th grade.
Unbaptized Children
Families with unbaptized children, who have begun first grade or older, should contact the Religious Education Office at 239-574-2411 to make inquiries for Sacraments.
Volunteers
All families with a returning adult volunteer in the program (Hallway Monitor, Assist. Catechist, or Catechist) will be registered by the Religious Education Staff. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us immediately so that the necessary Diocese of Venice required pre-volunteer process can begin.
