Faith Formation

Faith Formation/Religious Education

St. Andrew Faith Formation/Religious Education is based on the principal that parents are the primary educators of their children. Religious educators assist parents in this role as primary educator. Faith Formation gatherings are available for young Catholic Christians who are in grades one through twelve in public school. Children and teens are enrolled in Faith Formation sessions not only in order to prepare for the celebration of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation, but also for their continual spiritual development. Integral to Faith Formation is the weekly celebration of the Eucharist. Faith Formation includes: weekly gatherings, weekend retreats, family catechesis, family prayer service and parent meetings.

Sessions are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM, and 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM; Sunday morning family catechesis after the 9:00am Eucharist; Monday evening Confirmation sessions from 5:15 PM to 7:00 PM coupled with family prayer services celebrated periodically; Thursday evening high school Confirmation catechesis. For adults seeking first sacraments, please refer to the RCIA program. For more information, please contact the Faith Formation/Religious Education office at 574-2411.
