Celebrates 50 and 25 Years with Jubilee Gala – November 8th
Cape Coral – The Catholic Community of Cape Coral will recognize a milestone with the celebration of the Gold and Silver Anniversary of St. Andrew Catholic Church and St. Andrew School. The Gala Celebration will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Westin Cape Coral Marina Resort.
The Gala Celebration is headed by a VIP Host Committee that includes many civic and business leaders from the City of Cape Coral, Lee County and the State of Florida. The attendance is expected to exceed 400 guests. The program for the Gala will include entertainment and reflection for looking back on the 50 and 25 year milestone of Catholicism in Cape Coral.Today, St. Andrew Church has over 4500 families and is one of the largest parishes in Southwest Florida. St. Andrew School has provided for the education of thousands of young students with the moral and educational foundation needed for a successful future. That service to the community continues to this day.
Father Richard York, pastor stated, “Our celebration is simply about our honoring the past, celebrating the present, and planning for the future in our Cape Coral Community. St. Andrew Catholic Parish by its very core seeks to reach out through its works of mercy and concern for all in need especially in these troubled times.
